Albers Retrospective Abstract Squares - Digital Download
Josef Albers' Homage to the Square comes to life in this 1971 retrospective poster, originally shown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Nested squares in teal, periwinkle blue, rust orange, and golden yellow build a meditative, deeply satisfying color study, with clean Bauhaus typography anchoring the bottom third. The layered palette creates a quiet optical glow that feels both scholarly and warm.
