Alexander The Great
Andy Warhol's Alexander the Great captures the ancient Hellenistic bronze bust in bold pop art color, created in 1982 to mark the Metropolitan Museum exhibition on the great conqueror. Warhol renders the marble-like head in crisp white and powder blue, outlined in black and streaks of rainbow, set against a stark black field with a single yellow stripe - a piece that reads almost like a museum print of a classical sculpture reimagined through a modern lens. The contrast of ancient subject and electric pop art palette gives it a bold, iconic, and unmistakably contemporary presence.
This wall sculpture-inspired print brings striking energy to a living room, office, or gallery wall, and its blend of history and pop culture makes it a memorable gift for boyfriend, a favorite among gifts for painters, or a thoughtful pick for anyone drawn to trending now art. It suits collectors who love art history reinterpreted with punchy modern color.
