Butterfly And Berries Japanese Study
This naturalistic study evokes the refined brushwork of Ito Jakuchu, capturing a golden brown butterfly suspended beneath a branch of deep green leaves and clusters of red berries. Rendered on soft cream paper with delicate ink linework, the eye-spotted wings and curling antennae are painted with quiet, contemplative precision typical of Edo-period naturalist studies. The palette of cream, golden brown, deep green, and black ink creates a serene, understated mood perfect for calm interiors.
This japanese wall art brings gentle organic elegance to a living room, reading nook, or japandi-inspired study, and makes a thoughtful gift for anyone drawn to ink wash painting and quiet naturalist art. It suits collectors of woodblock print traditions and lovers of understated asian wall art alike.
