Study For The Nurse In The Battleship Potemkin - Digital Download

Francis Bacon's Study for the Nurse in the Battleship Potemkin (1957) reworks the screaming nurse from Eisenstein's film into one of his most visceral disfigured forms. Smeared strokes of orange, grey, black, and cream collapse around a howling, distorted head set against a flattened, anguished ground - a hallmark of Bacon's signature dark art and unmistakable painterly motion. This print captures the intensity of the original with striking clarity, making it a compelling piece of modern art for anyone drawn to raw emotional expression.
