William Morris Peacock And Dragon
William Morris's Peacock and Dragon, designed in 1878, is one of the great masterworks of the Arts and Crafts movement, and this print brings its dense, mesmerizing repeat pattern to life. Mirrored peacocks with fanned tails, snarling dragons, and trailing flowers weave through a moody field of teal and dark blue, picked out in cream, gold, and sage green - an ornate, harmonious design that still feels mystical and alive nearly 150 years later. The symmetry and rich detail give it the presence of a bird painting hung as a centerpiece rather than a simple bird print.
This kind of pattern print works beautifully as a wall hanging in a study, library, or living room, and its vintage antique decor character makes it a natural fit alongside medieval decor or other Arts and Crafts pieces. It also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves Morris, folk textiles, or richly patterned wall art.
