Mark Rothko Abstract Retrospective Poster
Mark Rothko's contemplative color field study comes to life in this retrospective print, pairing a soft mauve pink field above a deep olive green expanse, edged with warm burnt orange and a cream border. Painted in his signature glowing, layered style, the composition captures the serene, melancholic mood that defines his mid-century abstract art - a piece originally shown at the Museum of Modern Art retrospective spanning 1903 to 1970.
This abstract wall art brings a quiet, meditative energy to a living room decor scheme, a reading nook, or a minimalist wall art gallery wall, and makes a thoughtful gift for anyone drawn to modern art and wabi sabi wall art sensibilities. As a museum print, it works equally well solo or grouped with other large abstract art pieces for a gallery-style display.
